“3 bedroom is huge!”
Our family of two boys and two girls spent a week at the Sands of Kahana.
Highly recommend #256 if you can get it. It is huge! 2700 sq feet counting
the balconies. Its really two master suites. We loved it because of the size.
Other amenities are typical. Has a restaurant, work out room, etc. Played
golf at Kannapali…

“Hidden Jewel by the Sea”
I stayed at SOK last week with my family and had a blast. We stayed in
room #336, building 4. It was a 2 bedroom ocean view and we loved how
our condo was situated and our view was pretty amazing. I think we spent
half our vacation out on the lanai watching sunsets! We love the location
because it’s…

“Wonderful experience at SOK”
My husband , two children (ages 7 and 9) and I stayed at SOK in February.
Our friends own a timeshare there so they invited us to stay with them on Maui.
They also have two children. We had a three bedroom/two bath condo with an < /FONT>
ocean view. Our stay was amazing. I couldn’t believe how much room there was…

No podía creer cuanto espacio había…

“Very pleased”
Our friends with timeshares on Maui and Kaui, considers the Sands of Kahana to
be their favorite. We now know why. It is well planned, nicely furnished and
maintained with spacious accommodations, one of the nicest beaches in the area
and very friendly staff. Especially liked the outdoor dining areas and gas grills -

“Encantados”

“We really enjoyed Sands of Kahana”
We really enjoyed the Sands of Kahana! We had a one bedroom, two bath condo.
There was a TON of room - another couple could have easily shared our condo
with us. I was hesitant to invite my sister and her husband to stay with us because
I was not sure what the condo would be like, but it was… more

“Realmente disfrutamos Sands of Kahana”
¡Realmente disfrutamos de Sands of Kahana!

“Lovely Experience9 D
My husband and I stayed in an ocean view three bedroom condo with my family for
one week. We had 5 adults and 3 children and it never felt crowded. I loved open layout
of the condo. We could sit on the lanai and watch the whales…

Things to do on Hawaii Big Island

Hawaii’s Big Island is as fascinating as any of Hawaii’s islands.  In fact, it may even be more fascinating and interesting being a home to a lot of weird but interesting things!  Like do you know that Hawaii Big Island has a whooping eleven climate zones!  It has snow-capped mountaintops, humid rain forests, sandy and hot deserts and black sand beaches.  It is also the home of the famous and ever active Kilauea volcano expanding Hawaii Big Island’s territory after every few years.  Because of these things, there are a lot to do and see in this fascinating island.  Below is a list of must do’s in the Big Island of Hawaii:

Add excitement to your stay in the Big Island of Hawaii and see molten lava come from  active volcanoes.  Kilauea is considered to be one of the few places in the world where its tourists can see and experience a volcano that is still active.  This great volcano has never stopped vomiting molten lava since 1983.  Currently, there are three volcanoes in the Big Island of Hawaii that are still active including Kilauea.  The other two are Mauna Loa, which is also located at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the other is Loihi, an underwater volcano found off Hawaii’s Big Island’s southern coast.    This volcano has been active since 1996 and the lava from this beauty may an additional island in Hawaiian’s chain is more or less 250,000 years.  Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is considered to be the number one tourist attraction in Hawaii’s Big Island.

If seeing active volcanoes is not your thing and you are more at home in white, delicate surroundings then you might want to consider visiting the top of Mt. Mauna Kea and play on its white, soft snow.  Mauna Kea is known as the biggest sea mountain in the world.  It is actually a volcano but since its last eruption has been thousands of years ago, 4,000 to be exact, it has been considered dormant and visitors of the Big Island usually go here to stargaze.  You can find here W.M. Keck Observatory.

Don’t leave the Big Island of Hawaii without hiking the Waipio Valley or popularly known to many as the “Valley of the Kings.”  This place is not only historic it is also sacred because it is the home of the boy King Kamahameha I .  Because of this, it became a center for religious and political like of Hawaii.  But aside from this,  the Waipoi Valley is also a place of great beauty like no other.  This beautiful place can also be explored through horseback riding and van tours.

You may also satisfy your craving for culture by visiting Puukohola Haiku.  Considered as one of the biggest heiau or temple in Hawaii, this holy place for worship and religion  is can be found in South Kohala.   This place is also believed as one of last holy structures constructed before the western influence.   Hilo and Kona Coast should also be added to your must see list because these places are not culturally rich but also filled with great entertainment and good food that will surely make tourists come back over and over again.

So what are you waiting for?  Go and book that vacation to Hawaii’s Big Island now and experience beauty, culture and entertainment like no other!
